Major Works Data Sheets – Summer Reading Journal

Good Morning,

Attached you will find a pdf file.  I want you to use these worksheets as your summer reading journals.  Fill them out for Oedipus the King and the book that you selected from the list of plays and novels that appear frequently on the exam.

** Warning: although it is great and very beneficial to work together, it also greatly increases the risk of plaigerism (intentional or not).  Make sure that your words are YOUR words.  It would be terrible to begin the year with Fs!

How would we do the journal for “How to Read Literature like a Professor?”

    • nborges24 says:

For How to Read Literature Like a Professor, take notes. Since it isn’t a novel, there are no characters, motifs, etc. Take notes on the suggested strategies, etc, but I won’t collect any work based on that. there will, however, be questions on the test that relate to the book.

  2. nborges24 says:

Basically, it’s asking whether the book was used or referenced on old AP exams. You would simply list the question and the year that it was used.

  3. nborges24 says:

It asks you to look at the open-ended questions of past exams and choose questions that you could answer using that novel.
